Invitación a participar & Call for papers

El Congreso se reunirá en la ciudad de Córdoba, en la sede de la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (http://www.derecho.unc.edu.ar/), los días 3, 4 y 5 de septiembre de 2014.

Están invitados a participar académicos y docentes universitarios, estudiantes universitarios, Organizaciones No Gubernamentales, instituciones de diálogo interreligioso, funcionarios nacionales, provinciales y municipales, legisladores y miembros del Poder Judicial, así como miembros de instituciones religiosas.

La inscripción debe hacerse completando el formulario disponible AQUÍ.

En el Congreso participarán como expositores especialistas nacionales e internacionales (PROGRAMA). Se harán también sesiones simultáneas en las que podrán presentarse ponencias o comunicaciones.

Los temas generales de las sesiones son:

Diversidad y pluralismo
La Religión ante los procesos de cambio social

3. LIBERTAD RELIGIOSA Y DERECHO
Igualdad y discriminación
El derecho a la objeción de conciencia
Régimen jurídico de las confesiones religiosas
El factor religioso en los tribunales y organismos internacionales
Los participantes en el Congreso, deberán proveer por sí mismos a sus gastos de transporte y alojamiento. Hotelería.

Las reglas para la presentación de ponencias o comunicaciones (en español o en inglés), son las siguientes:
1. Los interesados deberán comunicar su intención de presentar una ponencia o comunicación, antes del 10 de junio de 2014, a la dirección congreso@calir.org.ar. Deberán indicar el título de la presentación y la sesión a la que está dirigida.
2. Antes del 15 de julio de 2014, deberán enviar un resumen de la ponencia o comunicación (de 300 palabras) y un breve resumen de los antecedentes del autor, para el armado definitivo del programa del Congreso.
3. La organización del Congreso asignará el tiempo apropiado para la presentación en función de la cantidad de ponencias recibidas. Los ponentes podrán distribuir el texto escrito íntegro de su ponencia durante el Congreso.
4. El texto escrito de la ponencia en vistas a la posible publicación, con una extensión máxima de 4000 palabras, deberá ser entregado en papel y en soporte electrónico antes del 30 de septiembre de 2014. CALIR procurará la publicación de las actas del Congreso, inclusive las ponencias recibidas, en un volumen impreso; sin perjuicio de lo cual podrá también publicarlas en su sitio web o en la forma que considere oportuna, respetando la integridad de los textos recibidos.
5. La presentación de comunicaciones o ponencias no da derecho a reembolso económico.
6. La organización se reserva el derecho de no admitir comunicaciones o ponencias que sean manifiestamente extrañas a la temática del Congreso, o que no cumplan con los standardsmínimos para una presentación de esta naturaleza.

Invitation & Call for papers

The Congress will meet in the city of Córdoba, on the campus of the School of Law and Social Sciences of the Cordoba National University (http://www.derecho.unc.edu.ar/), on september 3-5, 2014.

Congress is open to scholars and university professors, students, Non Governmental Organizations, institutions involved in interreligious dialogue, governmental officials of all levels, members of the Legislature and the Judiciary, and members of religious institutions.

The Congress will include the participation of specialists from around the world (PROGRAM). There will also be sessions in which participants will be able to present their papers.

The general topics of sessions are:
1. RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND SOCIETY
Religion, conflict and social peace
Religions as social movements
Diversity and pluralism
Religion in view of processes of social change
2. RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND POLITICAL SYSTEMS
Religion and public policies
Religion and democracy
The religious factor on international politics
Challenges in bioethics, politics and religion
3. RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND LAW
Equality and discrimination
The right to objection of conscience
Legal regime of religious confessions
The religious factor in international courts and organizations
Participants in the Congress should provide for their own travel and accommodations expenses.ACCOMMODATIONS.

The guidelines for the presentation of papers (in spanish or english), are as follows:
1. The presentation of papers by the participants must be informed to the organizer before June 10, 2014, to the email address congreso@calir.org.ar. They should indicate the title of the presentation and the session for wich it is intended.
2. Before July 15, 2014, they should send a summary of the presentation (approximately 300 words) along with a brief summary of the author´s background, so as finalize the program for the Congress.
3. The organizers of the Congress will assign the appropriate time allotment for the presentations in accordance with the number of submissions received. Presenters will be permitted to distribute their writings during the course of the Congress.
4. In anticipation of possible future publication, the text of the presentations, should be limited to 4,000 words, and should be delivered both in printed and electronic form on or beforeseptember 30, 2014. CALIR will attempt to secure the publication of a printed volume of the contents of the Congress, including the submitted presentations, and may also publish them on its website or in another form that may be determined opportune, while always respecting the integrity of the submitted texts.
5. The submission and presentation of research do not include financial remuneration.
6. The organizers reserve the right to refuse submissions that are manifestly foreign to the theme of the Congress or do not rise to the minimum standards for presentations of this nature.
